Workover Rig Services

Hoist (Workover Rig)
The term “workover” is used to refer to any kind of oil well intervention involving operational techniques, such as hoist, wireline, coiled tubing or snubbing. More specifically though, it refers to the expensive process of pulling and replacing a completion to extend the life of the well.

After a new oil or gas well is drilled by the main rig, a service rig is used to complete the well by laying down pipes through a process called well completion. A service rig (Hoist) is a very versatile piece of equipment that is used from the beginning to the end of an oil or gas well’s entire life. The well is delivered to the Client to optimize their oil and gas production and increase reservoir drainage after workover is done in the well.

Workover segment covers a wide range of operations including:
• Opening up a new well
• Cleanouts
• Well repairs
• Re-completing a well to optimize performance
• Testing and reinstating the integrity of the well
• Reservoir stimulation and clean-outs
• Running completions on newly drilled wells
• Replace tubing/completion string equipment/recompletions
• Run new or replace sucker rods and rod pumps and replace failed sucker rods
• Fishing/milling/cleanout operations in casing or open hole
• Water shut off jobs in casing and open hole
